Around the fire - Ignition
---
What started as a school project has evolved into a personal endeavor. Below, I am showcasing four additional prints, employing different printing methods and techniques, along with a product sample of a pile jacket. This represents the first addition to the brand, or as I like to think of it, the spark that ignites it.
RESULTS
Print 1: Okuri-inu
Wolves have historical and cultural significance in Japan, although their presence has diminished significantly over the years. Wolves have been featured in Japanese folklore and mythology. The "Okuri-inu" or "sending-off dog" is a mythical creature resembling a wolf that is believed to guide travelers safely through mountains. They are thought to protect against evil forces and bring good fortune, representing qualities such as strength, loyalty, and the untamed spirit of nature.

Print 2: Reclaim & Adapt
The design "reclaim and adapt" emphasizes the coexistence of human activities and natural environments in a way that fosters ecological health, biodiversity, and sustainability. It recognizes the importance of respecting and working with nature rather than exploiting or depleting it. In essence, "reclaim and adapt" emphasizes the dual process of recovering or restoring something valuable and adjusting or modifying it to be relevant and functional in a new context.

Print 3: Ebb and Flow - Embroidered T-shirt
Ebb and flow are associated with the natural rhythms and cycles of life, symbolizing the dynamic and ever-changing nature of existence. encompassing themes of change, balance, renewal, and the cyclical nature of life. It has been embraced across various cultures and philosophies as a profound metaphor for understanding the complexities and beauty of life.

Print 4: Logo tee in white/black
Logo tee which features a subtle Around The Fire logo up front and on the back.

Pile Jacket Product Sample

I have been collaborating closely with a factory in China to design something I aimed to be both durable and practical, yet stylish. It has also been made with the environment in mind. To the right is the first product sample. It's only a prototype, missing the logo/label patches as seen in the technical drawing to left right.
